The Transfiguration Church in the village of Ladovskaya Balka was built in 1907 with funds from parishioners and is the only one of three churches that has survived to this day. More detailed information has not yet been found. The Church of St. Nicholas was demolished in 1956 by decision of the authorities, and the second church was also destroyed during the Soviet period.

In the 1930s, the church was used as a grain storage facility, and at that time, the porcelain iconostasis was destroyed. According to local elders, the church was open during the Great Patriotic War. In 2003, on the day of the church's feast, the Ministry of Culture of the Stavropol Krai granted the church the status of "Cultural Heritage of Local Significance" with registration number 709.

The church's relics include the icon of the Most Holy Theotokos "Worthy It Is" ("The Merciful"), on the reverse of which it is indicated: "This icon was written in the cell of the Three Hierarchs on the Holy Mountain Athos. 1903"; the icon "The Burning Bush" with the inscription: "In prayerful memory of the residents of the village of Ladovskaya Balka from the fire victims affected by the hurricane in 1914"; and the Iberian icon of the Most Holy Theotokos, also created on the Holy Mountain Athos.
