The Church of the Savior Not Made by Hands is located in the village of Uteshevo in the Babyninsky District of the Kaluga Region and is also known as the Spasskaya Church.

The village of Uteshevo is situated on the road connecting Kaluga with Yukhnov and Vyazma. The first mentions of it date back to the 14th century. The name of the village comes from its former owner, Utesh Semenov. According to the 1858 census, there were 636 residents in Uteshevo.

The Church of the Savior Not Made by Hands was built in 1839 with funds from Maria Yevdokimovna Delyanova, the widow of Major General David Artemyevich Delyanov, a hero of the Patriotic War of 1812 and a participant in the foreign campaigns of the Russian army. Delyanov came from Armenian nobility that emigrated from Persia in the mid-18th century. In 1930, the church was closed, and the last priest, Konstantin Kuklin, was arrested and executed in 1937. The church building, made of red brick in the Empire style, features a three-tiered bell tower. The church has two lights, with a large bright drum topped with a dome and cross. The bell tower is crowned with a spire, and the main facade is adorned with a portico with columns. Previously, the building was plastered and whitewashed, but due to misuse, it fell into disrepair: windows and doors are missing, and the roof is overgrown with shrubs and trees.

In 1998, the church building was returned to the Orthodox community and fully restored.
