The Church of the Savior Not Made by Hands is located in the village of Spasskoye at the cape where the Mokhovitsa and Nepolod rivers merge. The first mentions of the settlement date back to 1594-1595.

The Church of the Savior Not Made by Hands is first noted in the documents of the churches of the Oryol district for the years 1734 and 1755. The existing brick cold single-altar church was built on the site of a wooden one in 1846 with funds from Major General T.I. Bakhmeteva. Initially, the building had the shape of an equal-armed cross. In 1905, the western part of the refectory was expanded, and a two-tiered bell tower was added to it. In 1892, a wooden cross on the main dome, damaged by a storm, was replaced with a new crystal one. The church was surrounded by a wooden fence. In the village of Povetkina, which was part of the parish, a single-class church school was built in 1892-1893, which has not survived to this day.

The Church of the Savior Not Made by Hands was closed in the 1930s; however, some of the paintings have partially survived. The bell tower was dismantled in the 1950s.
