In the village of Chornysh in the Priluzsky district, work is actively underway to restore the wooden Church of the Savior Not Made by Hands, which previously housed a village club.

On September 3, 2016, an important event took place: Archbishop Pitirim of Syktyvkar and Komi-Zyryan conducted a small consecration of the church in the name of the Savior Not Made by Hands. Residents from nearby villages, such as Ob'yachevo, Noshulya, Ust-Lop'ya, and other settlements of Priluzhye, attended the ceremony. Relatives of the last priest of the church, Ivan Grigoryevich Mysov, who was shot in 1937, also came.

The church, built in 1886, is a wooden single-story single-altar temple located on the left bank of the Luza River. For almost its entire history, it was affiliated with the Ob'yachevo parish. History has not preserved the names of the builders, except for the project author, Inostrantsev. In 1930, the church was closed, and its property was sold in local shops.

Now, many local residents and visiting enthusiasts are engaged in restoring the altar. A cross has been erected on the shore near the church. Meetings of the church community are being held, the altar part has been restored, and activists are raising funds for further work on the revival of the church. With the start of restoration work, the spiritual life in the village has been revitalized.
