In the village of Peklino, there is a church dedicated to the Smolensk Icon of the Mother of God. The altars of the church are also dedicated to this icon. The construction of the church took place from 2004 to 2007.

Until recently, Peklino did not have its own church, and Orthodox residents attended churches in neighboring villages. However, local residents established an Orthodox parish, and in 2004, Bishop Theophilakt of Bryansk and Sevsk consecrated the cornerstone of the future church's foundation. The initiator of the construction was Yevgeny Dmitrievich Kuzavlev, who was then the head of the Dubrovskiy district administration. The construction of the church was completed in 2007.
