The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Subbotovo is located on a hill on the outskirts of the village and is visible from afar. According to local residents, its construction was completed in 1819. It is one of the estate churches of the Bryansk region. The building is made of brick, previously plastered, and includes the main volume with porticos on the sides, as well as adjoining refectory and altar of the same size. In the late 1920s and early 1930s, the church was closed during the persecution of the Church by the Soviet authorities. Only the walls of the church have survived to this day. The parish community has carried out partial repair and restoration work.
