The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Kryukovo is a unique wooden structure, protected by the state as an architectural monument. It was built in the 19th century on the site of a lost stone church, constructed in 1790.

In 1908, there were two schools operating on the parish territory: a zemstvo school and a literacy school. The church owned 24 desyatinas of arable land and 9 desyatinas of haymaking land.

In the 1930s, during the Soviet regime, the church was desecrated and closed. However, after World War II, in 1947, services were resumed.
