The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in the village of Ivanovka, built in the first half of the 19th century, is a monument of architecture. According to some sources, the design of the stone church was developed by the famous St. Petersburg architect A. I. Melnikov. It is known for certain that the church, recognized as a monument of architecture, was erected in 1837. The original dimensions of the church were 25 meters in length, 20 meters in width, and 6 meters in height to the cornice. Currently, the length and height of the building remain unchanged, and the light drum with the dome and cross still has eight arched windows. However, the width of the church has decreased. In the 1930s, the church was closed and used as a grain storage facility. In 1956, the bell tower was destroyed, the roof was dismantled, and the northern chapel was also removed, which has not yet been restored.

The exterior of the church has also changed. Previously, parishioners could see the original brickwork, but during the renovation work preceding the resumption of services in 1990, the walls were covered with a thick layer of plaster to hide the differences between the original and restored sections. Thanks to the support of the Oskol Electric Metallurgical Plant, another renovation was carried out in 2007-2008, after which the first three bells were installed on the bell tower.
