The revival of spiritual life in the village of Glazunovka began with the initiative of local residents who requested the transfer of the old hospital building to create a church. By April 7, 1992, the renovation work was completed. On the second day of Easter, the church was consecrated in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The first service took place on December 19, 1993. Over the next two years, the building was renovated: the roof was updated, the walls were insulated, a dome and cross were installed. Since the consecration of the small church, services have been held regularly.

On August 5, 1996, construction of a new church began, designed by architect M.B. Skorobogatov, on a small plot next to the existing church. On September 21, 1997, Archbishop of Oryol and Livny Pasios consecrated the laying of the cornerstone. In May 1998, the walls of the new church began to be erected. In 2000, work began on the dome. By May 2001, the vault was completed, the dome was covered with iron, and a lantern was installed. On September 19, 2002, a team from Oryol installed the gilded cross.

On September 21, 2002, the consecration of the new church took place, led by the secretary of the Diocese, Archpriest Ioann Troitsky. In the summer of 2002, construction of the bell tower began, completed in the summer of 2007, when the bells were installed, the largest of which weighs 350 kg.

Since 2010, the painting of the church walls has been ongoing. All repair and restoration work is carried out thanks to donations from parishioners and local entrepreneurs.
