The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in the village of Foshchevatovo was built in the early 2000s on the site of an ancient wooden church from the 18th century. In 1779, a wooden Nativity of the Virgin Mary Church was constructed here. In 1922, it was handed over to the communities of believers from Foshchevatovo, Podlesnoye, and Novoselovo. The church was closed in 1932 and dismantled after the war. A club was built in its place, which still operates today. On April 11, 2002, Archbishop John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol consecrated the foundation stone for the new church. The new church was opened on October 17, 2004, and a children's Sunday school operates there.
