Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Begichevo

Фото 1
In 1904, a wooden church was built in Begichevo, consecrated in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The single-story building had two iron domes with pierced crosses. The outer walls of the church were painted, and there was a closed porch in front of the entrance. The church was not heated. The wooden single-tier bell tower had five bells. The church was surrounded by a fence made of iron grilles on stone pillars. Information about the church's frescoes is absent, but it is known that the frescoes were updated in 1913. The iconostasis, created in 1904, included 25 icons. A church parish school operated at the church.

The church was closed in 1929, according to other sources, in 1932. For a long time, the building was used as a warehouse, and later it was gradually dismantled.
