The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in the village of Alexeyevka was built in 2011 on the site of an old 18th-century church, which was destroyed after World War II.

The stone church, built in the mid-18th century in the village of Krasnoye (renamed Alexeyevka in the early 20th century), was dedicated to the Nativity of the Virgin Mary. During the Soviet era, the church was closed and used as a grain storage facility. It suffered greatly during World War II and was finally destroyed in the post-war years.

In 1997, the revival of Orthodox traditions began in the village, and on April 22, during the Easter holiday, the parish of the church in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary was opened.

The village also houses the M.S. Shchepkin Museum, which preserves part of the church utensils from the destroyed stone church.

On August 25, 2003, Archbishop Ioann of Belgorod and Stary Oskol consecrated the cornerstone of the new church.

On September 16, 2011, on the eve of the 100th anniversary of the canonization of Saint Ioasaph, the newly built Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church was consecrated by His Eminence Ioann.
