The stone Church of the Nativity of Christ in Rozhdestvenka was built in 1889. In the early 1970s, the rural Soviet authorities decided to demolish it. For this, the church was mined by professional army demolitions experts, but it was only successfully blown up on the third attempt. The church could not be completely destroyed, and it is now in a state of abandonment.
