The Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh in the village of Terebreno was built in honor of the 700th anniversary of the birth of St. Sergius, the abbot of Radonezh. The new stone church was constructed and consecrated on October 6, 2012, by Bishop Sophrony of Gubkin and Grayvoron. The consecration took place on the Day of Remembrance of St. Sergius of Radonezh, who was canonized by the Russian Orthodox Church. The funds for the construction were raised thanks to patrons, with one local pensioner donating 100,000 rubles, and residents of the district contributing a day's wages.

In the year of the 700th anniversary of St. Sergius of Radonezh, an alley of 61 red oaks was planted near the church in his honor. At the site of the old church in the village, a cross was erected, which was placed at the location of the altar of the church that was destroyed in 1961 on Popovka Street. The initiative for the installation of the cross came from local residents.

In the village of Terebreno, a holy spring, over 300 years old, has also been revived.
