On July 18, 2020, on the day of remembrance of St. Sergius of Radonezh, the under-construction temple in the village of Pupkovo, part of the Dyatkovsky deanery, celebrated its church holiday.

The Divine Liturgy was conducted by the dean of the Dyatkovsky church district, Priest Pavel Korneev, and the rector of the temple, Priest Dmitry Shmatov.

Local residents and benefactors of the temple attended the service. After the Liturgy, a Cross Procession took place, and a prayer was offered to the venerable Igumen of the Russian Land.

The priests addressed the believers with sermons. Priest Pavel Korneev emphasized the importance of prayer for Orthodox Christians, while Priest Dmitry Shmatov reminded everyone of Priest Sergey Makarov, who served in the Pupkovo temple in the 1930s and was executed in 1937.
