The Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh is a parish church of the Nizhny Novgorod deanery of the Nizhny Novgorod diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church. It was consecrated in 1869 and is located on Sergievskaya Street in Nizhny Novgorod.

The Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh is one of the oldest churches in the historical district of Zapochainye, known since 1621. In the Middle Ages, the church was part of the Sergiev Monastery on Petushkov. After the monastery was abolished, the wooden church existed until 1701, when it was replaced by a stone building.

The modern building of the church was erected between 1865 and 1869 according to the design of architect Nikolai Feldman. Inside, unique frescoes from the early 20th century, made in the neo-Russian style, have been preserved.

The project of the church was approved by Alexander II, and construction was completed by 1869. In 1872, architect R.Ya. Kilevain added oval rooms to the base of the bell tower, increasing the area for services.

During the Soviet era, the building housed the Union of Artists. In 2003, the church returned to the Nizhny Novgorod diocese. In October 2006, the bell tower was fully equipped, with 12 bells installed, the largest of which weighs 4 tons.

The church was re-consecrated on November 4, 2006, by Archbishop Georgy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas, with the co-serving of Bishops Theognost of Sergiev Posad and Theophylact of Bryansk and Sevsk. After the consecration, the first Divine Liturgy took place, attended by the first Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev.

On January 27, 2010, a moleben in honor of Equal-to-the-Apostles Nina was held in the church in Georgian.

Since December 2006, an Orthodox center for the deaf and hard of hearing has been operating at the church, where a liturgy with sign language interpretation is held on Sundays. The experience of Simonov Monastery, where work with the deaf and hard of hearing had been conducted for several years, was taken into account in the creation of the center. On Saturdays and Sundays, meetings of the Orthodox youth center and family club take place in the church, which engage in social and missionary activities.
