The Temple of St. Sergius of Radonezh in Malobyково

Фото 1
In 2010, in the village of Malobyково, in the picturesque area of Liman, a ceremony was held to lay the first stone of the Temple of St. Sergius of Radonezh at the training center of the company "EFKO." Just a year later, the new church held a solemn consecration of the bells. The largest bell weighs 850 kg, while the smallest weighs 10 kg. The church's frescoes were created by a group of icon painters from Palekh under the guidance of Ivan Lebedev.

The white church with unusual domes made of mirrored glass, along with the cross, reaches a height of over 26 meters. The church, crowned with a seven-headed bell tower featuring the melodic ringing of the large bell, is recognized as a unique architectural landmark of the diocese. The rich interior decoration, frescoes, and artistic painting of the faces of saints complement the gospel scenes made of plaster with gold dusting.

The church's frescoes were created by masters from the Palekh icon painting workshop, combining azure-blue, carmine-pink, and turquoise-green colors. The temple is a monument of architecture and is under state protection.
