The parish of the temple in honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh in the 12th microdistrict of Dyatkovo was founded in 2014, the year of the 700th anniversary of the saint's birth. On August 22, 2014, Metropolitan Alexander of Bryansk and Sevsk conducted the rite of consecration of the Cross and the cornerstone at the site of the future temple. Soon, a small church appeared here, where services began.
Since October 2016, the construction of a larger church began next to the temporary temple. The brickwork was completed in early March 2018. The height of the church with the cross reached 30 meters, and its capacity is 250-300 people. The church, designed by architects from Izhevsk, is built in the Russian-Byzantine style, has a milk color, and is decorated with ornamental elements. The snow-white iconostasis was made in Volgodonsk. Currently, the painting of the walls is ongoing, and the altar already features painted images. It is expected that the painting will be completed within two years. The construction of the temple mainly involved craftsmen from the Bryansk region, and the icon painter is also local.
On August 11, 2019, Metropolitan Alexander of Bryansk and Sevsk conducted the rite of great consecration of the temple in honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh and led the Divine Liturgy in the newly consecrated church.
