Фото 1
The church in the settlement of Krasnaya was built in 1846 thanks to the efforts of the parishioners. This stone building has five domes and a bell tower in one of the left chapels. The main altar is consecrated in honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh, while the side altars are in honor of the Prophet Elijah and St. Mary of Egypt.

By 1916, two schools were operating at the church. The women's church school was located in the church caretaker's house and taught 52 girls. The two-class church-parish school, located in a separate building, taught 77 boys and 55 girls. Both schools were funded by the parish. There was also a zemstvo school.

Houses were built for the clergy on church land: for the priest in 1914 and for the psalmist in 1910. The church owned 2 dessiatinas of land with a burial site and 35 dessiatinas of arable land.

Old-timers recall that the church was rich in utensils and bell ringing. In 1937, the church was destroyed, the rector was repressed, and a school was built in its place, which still operates today.

In 2004, with the blessing of Archbishop Ioann, a parish community was established. The first founders' meeting took place on June 15, 2004, and the parish charter was approved on September 23. On October 11, 2004, the parish was registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation.

On March 5, 2005, Priest Vasily Sergienko was appointed rector of the parish, and from that time regular liturgies began. Services were initially held in a garage, then in a converted school boiler room.

By God's providence, a vacant plot was found next to the former church, allocated for the construction of a new church. A project was developed, geological surveys were conducted, and permission for construction was obtained.

With the help of the head of the municipal economy department, Gennady Vending, a board of trustees was formed. The contractor was Vladimir Shalomitsky. On December 11, 2006, Archbishop Ioann consecrated the cornerstone for the new church.

On October 20, 2008, construction began with the installation of the first foundation block. Finishing works began on December 28.

By March 5, 2010, five years after the opening of the parish, the finishing works of the basement part were completed, and work began on the main part of the church.

Since January 2010, the parish has been publishing a newspaper called 'Sergievsky Listok'. On March 10, 2010, Archbishop Ioann visited the church and consecrated the church crucifix.
