Temple of St. Seraphim of Sarov in Nizhny Novgorod

The temple dedicated to St. Seraphim of Sarov is located in the Moscow district of Nizhny Novgorod. It is part of the Moscow deanery of the Nizhny Novgorod diocese, which is part of the Nizhny Novgorod metropolis of the Russian Orthodox Church.

On August 6, 2013, Metropolitan Georgy, who oversees the Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas dioceses, consecrated a cross, marking the beginning of the construction of the new church near the entrance of OAO 'Nizhny Novgorod Machine Engineering Plant.' The laying of the church took place on April 24, 2014. On May 6, 2018, on the feast day of St. George the Victorious, the Great Consecration of the church was held.

The church, built in the Byzantine style, is a single-altar stone structure, with walls adorned with paintings depicting scenes from the life of St. Seraphim of Sarov. The height of the building is 27.7 meters, and a bell tower, 21.3 meters tall, adjoins it on the northern side. The total area of the church is 960 square meters.
