The parish in the name of St. Seraphim of Sarov was officially founded on June 30, 2003. On August 1 of the same year, Metropolitan Juvenaly of Kursk and Rylsk consecrated the cornerstone for the future temple. From that moment, regular services were held in front of the consecrated cross. In September, parishioners donated a military tent, where a temporary altar and iconostasis were set up, allowing for regular worship services. From December 2003, only evening services and prayers were held in the tent.

On January 6, 2004, with the blessing of Metropolitan Juvenaly, the first Divine Liturgy was conducted. Throughout 2004, 216 such liturgies were held. In the summer of the same year, the parish began preparations for the construction of the temple, which started on October 25. The construction lasted almost three years, and during this time, services were held in the temporary tent.

On August 1, 2007, Archbishop German of Kursk and Rylsk consecrated the altar and the temple, and the first Divine Liturgy was held in the new building. In 2009, the writing of icons for the iconostasis was completed. Among the main relics of the temple are the icon of St. Seraphim of Sarov with a particle of his relics, the icon of St. Nicholas of Myra with a particle of his relics, and others.

The temple consists of two floors: the upper floor with an area of 140 sq.m and the lower basement floor, which houses the baptismal room, refectory, and utility rooms.
