The Seraphim-Sarov Monastery was founded in September 1995 at the site of a former noble estate and garden of General Solovtsov, a participant in the Caucasian War. The first monks began to arrive here in 1996. In the autumn of the same year, the site was consecrated and the temple of the Universal Light of St. Seraphim of Sarov was laid, which was consecrated in August 1998 by Metropolitan Metody of Voronezh and Lipetsk.

Behind the altar of the temple of St. Seraphim is a chapel in honor of the icon of the Mother of God "Quick to Hear." During the summer, services and memorials are held here.
