The parish was founded in 1996. Services were held in a room in the administrative building of the Regional Medical-Social Rehabilitation Center of St. Theodosius of Pechersk in Kursk.

Construction of the temple in the 1st Mokva area began in 2010. A stone church was built with an elongated single-domed base, topped with a pyramid of small domes on a hipped roof. In 2015, the dome was installed, and the consecration of the temple took place on February 16, 2020.
