The Church of the Placement of the Lord's Robe of the Russian Old Believer Church was officially registered on November 19, 2012, by the Federal Tax Service for the Kursk region.

Historically, many Old Believer Christians have lived in the Kursk region. Before the revolution, there was a strong community and a large church in the village of Boyevo.

In the early 1930s, this church was closed and later destroyed. When the opportunity arose to build a new church, it was decided to start construction in the district center of Zolotukhino.

The recently consecrated church in Zolotukhino allowed local residents, who had long been unable to attend services, to experience the joy of participating in the Easter celebration for the first time in seventy years.
