Vzdruzhnoe, a village in the Navlinsky district of the Bryansk region, is located 30 km west of the settlement of Navlya, on the left bank of the Desna River. It has been known since the 18th century as the village of Vzdruzhnoe, which was part of the Brasovsky stan of the Komaritskaya volost and belonged to the parish of the village of Glinnoye. Since 1741, the village has been owned by the Apraksins. The parish of the Vzdruzhnoe Church of the Protection of the Holy Virgin is mentioned since 1736, and the last building of the church was constructed in 1796, but it has not survived to this day.

On October 18, 2014, a Cross of Remembrance was consecrated at the entrance to the village. On October 14, 2016, during the Feast of the Patron, the archpriest Igor Taraev, the dean of the Navlinsky church district, conducted a water blessing service and read the Akathist to the Protection of the Holy Virgin. He was assisted by priest Andrey Taraev. The service took place in the building where a home church is being established, thanks to the efforts of local residents and the financial support of Bryansk Regional Duma deputy Andrey Bogatikov.

In April 2017, a divine liturgy was held in Vzdruzhnoe for the first time in 75 years in the home church in honor of the Protection of the Holy Virgin. Last year, the village parish was given the building of the former secondary school, which was in poor condition. Local residents made cosmetic repairs in six months and acquired the necessary church utensils for the services.
