The Intercession Church in the village of Zhigaevo, Konychevsky District, Kursk Region, was built in 1859. It was closed in 1936, and in 1941 the building was completely destroyed. The revival of the parish began in 2004 with the establishment of the Intercession parish community. In 2006, the construction of a new church started, and the foundation was laid. Work on the construction of the church continues to this day. In 2013, the central dome and the bell tower dome were installed.
