The Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin was built in the 18th century on the site of a previous one that was destroyed by fire. In the 19th century, during reconstruction, porticos were added, and in the early 20th century, before 1908, the church was expanded and significantly changed its appearance. The interior decoration of the church, which includes a simple iconostasis and icons adorned with embroidered towels, dates back to the 19th-20th centuries.

In 1930, the church was closed. In 1942, during the occupation, services resumed and continued until 1964, after which the church was closed again. Since 1979, services have resumed once more, and restoration work has begun.
