The church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin in the village of Vinogroble is first mentioned in the revision tale of 1744. The "Topographical Description of the Kursk Province" from 1784 also contains information about this church: "The village is located on the Plota River, which flows into the Vinogroble River. In the village, there is a wooden church in the name of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin, with five church minister houses, where twelve people reside."

The wooden church was rebuilt in 1836, and the new, sturdier one could accommodate 1,146 male parishioners. It was located three versts from the nearest Trinity Church in the village of Vinnikovo. The church had one altar, consecrated in honor of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin. The parish included only the village of Vinogroble Pleta, where at the beginning of 1908, there were 1,190 men and 1,219 women living. By 1917, the population had increased to 1,979 men and 1,875 women, who lived in 539 households.

The church had estate land of 3 desyatinas and 210 square fathoms, as well as arable land of 30 desyatinas and haymaking land of 19 desyatinas. Since 1897, a one-class church school operated at the church. The parish also had a two-class zemstvo school, opened in 1872, with a second class added in 1917. In 1913, another two-class zemstvo school with a four-year course was opened.

After the decree of the SNK of the RSFSR on January 23, 1918, the Intercession Church continued to function under an agreement between the residents of Vinogroble and the department of the Kursk gubernatorial executive committee, drawn up on June 10, 1923.

According to the decree of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee on February 23, 1922, 14 items weighing a total of 11 pounds and 3/4 of silver were removed from the Intercession Church on May 14, 1922, including two vestments from small icons and a cover from the Gospel.

In 1923, an inventory of the property of the Intercession Church of the village of Vinogroble Pleta of the Kamenev volost of the Kursk district, Kursk diocese was compiled. The altar was made of oak, set on a stone foundation, covered with Dutch cloth with a tinsel cross and clothing made of yellow brocade with crosses.

The iconostasis was two-tiered, wooden, painted light yellow, with nine semicircles at the top, five of which were adorned with gilded crosses. The royal gates were wooden, carved, while the side ones were of simple carpentry work. The iconostasis was decorated with gilded wooden columns separating the icons of the first and second tiers. There were a total of 39 icons in the iconostasis.

The central part of the church was separated from the altar by the iconostasis. Behind the right choir was an icon of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin in a silver vestment, in a large kiot with a semicircle and cornices, painted light yellow with gilded columns and carvings. The kiot was topped with a cross and a gospel made of gilded wood. The altar gospel was in a raspberry velvet cover with a silver cover, removed in 1922. There were also icons of Saint Nicholas, the Sign of the Mother of God, the Venerable Seraphim of Sarov, and Saint Joasaph.

On the eastern wall were images of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, the prayer of the cup, and the appearance to two disciples. On the vaults of the walls were depicted the Lord of Hosts and five archangels. The wall painting was half-erased and required restoration.

Information about the date of closure of the Intercession Church is absent. As of June 1, 1937, the church had not operated since 1932 and was in a semi-ruined state.

In 1944, parishioners petitioned for the registration of the church, as the church community had been functioning since December 4, 1943. An agreement was drawn up on September 3, 1944.

As of June 15, 1950, the Intercession Church in the village of Vinogroble was operational. There is no information about the church in archival documents from 1960-1980.

On February 3, 2003, a local religious organization, the Orthodox parish of the Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin of the Kursk Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate), located in the village of Vinogroble in the Kursk district, was registered. Metric books for the years 1886-1887, 1890, 1896, 1898, 1899, 1902, 1905, 1907, 1909-1912, 1914, 1916, and 1918, as well as a clerical report for 1917, are kept in storage.

By the decree of the governor of the Kursk region on October 30, 1998, the Intercession Church was placed under protection as a monument of cult architecture of the 19th century of regional significance.
