The Intercession of the Holy Virgin Church in the village of Rep'yakhovka was built in a year on the site of a 19th-century church that was destroyed in 1937.
The old Intercession Church, constructed by parishioners in 1849, was, according to the memories of the locals, wooden and very spacious. In 1937, it was demolished, and the materials were used to build a military enlistment office and residential houses in the village of Krasnaya Yurga.
In 2007, the villagers appealed to the governor of the Belgorod region with a request to build a new church on the site of the former church.
After receiving permission, a new Intercession Church was built in 2008-2009. The grand opening took place on October 14, 2009. Archbishop Ioann of Belgorod and Stary Oskol consecrated the church and conducted the first Divine Liturgy there.
