Local resident Zinaida Vasilievna shared that the church was wooden and in the late 1930s, early 1940s, it was converted into a club. Many villagers, especially the elderly, did not want to attend the club and dances, remembering that the building was originally a church. During the Great Patriotic War, the club burned down. The church was located next to a school and a transformer pole. On the opposite side of the road from the former church, 533 Soviet soldiers who died during the war are buried.
