According to the clerical report of 1922, the church was built in 1914 through the efforts of parishioners and donors. The building is made of stone, with an unfinished bell tower. There is one altar in the church, dedicated to the Intercession of the Holy Virgin. The church's utensils are modest. The estate land by the church, including the cemetery, amounts to 1/8 of a desyatina. The house for the priest, started on church land in 1922, was not completed and is the property of the church. An inventory of property has been maintained since 1922, as the previous one was confiscated by the district executive committee. Copies of the metric books have been kept since 1912, except for 1919 and 1920, which were also confiscated by the district executive committee.

During the Great Patriotic War, the church was used as a train station and then as a cinema. It reopened in 1990 and continues to operate to this day. In 2005, the church was consecrated by Archbishop German of Kursk and Rylsk, with the rector being Archpriest Ioann Evgenievich Chervinsky.
