In the village of Pogreby, Brasov district, a church was built in 2006 in honor of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin. Its construction was made possible by donations from local residents and entrepreneurs. The initiator of the construction was Vladimir Vasilyevich Ryzhenkov, who unfortunately has passed away. Local builders worked on the church pro bono. The first rector was Priest Igor Muzalevsky.
This small sky-blue church, topped with a cross, is clearly visible from the road and is located near the Moscow-Kiev highway. Thanks to the efforts of the clergy and parishioners, the church and its surrounding area continue to be improved. In 2018, a foundation was laid, and in 2019, work was completed on the installation of a wrought-iron fence. Currently, services are held on weekends and holidays.
On July 4, 2019, Metropolitan Alexander of Bryansk and Sevsk performed the rite of great consecration of the church and led the Divine Liturgy in the newly consecrated church.
