The stone Intercession Church in the village of Peschanka was built in 1790. This two-story building features unique architecture. The lower, winter church is consecrated in honor of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin, while the upper, summer church is dedicated to the Uncreated Image of the Lord Jesus Christ. In 1908, the parish included the villages of Kositsino and Tavolzhanka, where two church schools operated.

In the 1930s, the church was closed, and the bells were removed from the bell tower. Services resumed after the war.

Restoration began in 1987. Over three years, the domes and roof were replaced, and the facade was plastered with marble chips. In 2012, a new carved iconostasis with handwritten icons was installed in the church. On October 23, 2016, Metropolitan Ioann of Belgorod and Stary Oskol conducted the consecration of the renovated Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin. The church is recognized as a monument of architecture.
