The Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin in the village of Palatovo, built in the early 19th century, is recognized as a cultural heritage site of regional significance.

The first Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin in this village was constructed during the era of Peter I with state funds for the stationed troops and was called the "regimental church."

According to local residents, the name of the village is connected to the fact that the soldiers who built the city of Palatov lived in tents. The Intercession Church in Palatovo was erected in 1808.

In 1923, the priest serving in the church was arrested, convicted, and exiled, after which services were held only sporadically. In 1930, the church was closed and repurposed as a grain storage facility. At the same time, the iconostasis, altar, and bells were destroyed. The bricks from the demolished church fence were used to build a collective farm basement and store.

In 1943, services in the church resumed, and the altar and octagon were freed from the storage contents. In 1947, the dining area of the church was returned to the believers.

Restoration and repairs of the church were carried out in the 1970s, as well as in 1989 and 1996. The last renovation of the church took place in 2008.
