Construction of the church began around 1705 and was completed approximately in 1796, according to local residents. The main funds for the construction were provided by the local landowner Ivan Vasilyevich Gvozdyev. It is known that by 1764 the parish already existed, but the exact dates are unknown. Initially, the church was surrounded by a brick fence, and nearby there was a large fruit garden with apple and pear trees.

Before the war, there was a church school next to the church, where the daughter of the local priest, Sofia Viktorovna, first studied and then taught. During the war, she was shot.

The church was guarded by Roman Grigorievich Shchepov, for which the entire village paid him. There was a large choir in the church, as well as a choir loft with a balcony located at the back of the room above the entrance.

In the 1930s, the church was closed, and the domes were destroyed. After its closure, the building was used as a grain storage facility. The faithful obtained permission from the authorities to use the old office building in the Fur Farm for services, and priests were invited from neighboring villages.

The full activity of the parish was resumed in 1946.

In the autumn of 2010, a dome was brought from the Korennaya Pustyn for the church, and restoration work began. In December 2012, a tent dome was installed on the bell tower.

From 2014 to 2016, renovation work continued: a dining room was built, the church was plastered on the outside, the roof was replaced, and a dome with a cross was installed over the altar.
