Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin in Lyubimovka

Фото 1
The Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin in the estate of Lyubimovka was known since 1843 and was likely built by landowner Y.A. Kreksina. In the late 19th century, the estate was acquired by Moscow's mayor S.V. Alexeev, the father of K.S. Stanislavsky. Until its closure in the 1930s, the church was affiliated with the Church of Saints Cosmas and Damian in Bolshovo. After its closure, the building housed a dormitory and a store. During the war, a crack appeared in the vault of the church, which has only widened over the years. On August 31, 2003, a meeting of citizens decided to revive the Lyubimov Intercession Church, but it still remains in ruins.
