The memorial church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin, which almost completely reproduces the pre-revolutionary church, was built in 2008. Initially, it was planned to construct a regular parish church, but during the construction, the idea arose to make it a memorial in memory of those who died in Afghanistan and Chechnya.

Inside the church, six granite slabs are installed, on which the names of more than 250 residents of Kursk, who died while fulfilling their official and military duty in Afghanistan and the North Caucasus, are engraved.

The main shrine of the church is the icon of the Iveron Mother of God, which was passed down from the destroyed prototype church. This icon was painted in Greece on the holy mountain Athos specifically for the old church. During the years of persecution against the church, one of the parishioners took the icon home and kept it until better times.

The bell tower of the church consists of seven bells, cast by masters from Voronezh.
