The Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin is an active church of the Old Believer Pomor community of the Ancient Orthodox Pomor Church in Belgorod. It was opened on December 2, 2006.

Before the church was built, local Old Believers gathered for prayers in their homes. Most of them are from Old Believer villages in the region, particularly from the village of Koshlakovo.

In 2001, a group of Pomor Old Believers registered a community to build the church. They struggled for a long time to obtain a plot for construction, but eventually, land was allocated near the city center, on the outskirts of the Memory Park. The construction of the church helped strengthen the community. The patrons were brothers Alexander and Anatoly Vasilyevich Tarasov. In May 2006, after the Third All-Russian Council of the Ancient Orthodox Pomor Church, Alexander Egorovich Tarasov was elected as the acting spiritual mentor.

One of the plaques on the church gates states: "In memory of the servant of God Athanasius Mikhailovich Tarasov and all who suffered for the Orthodox faith in Christ, with God's help and the patronage of the grandchildren Alexander, Anatoly, and all grateful descendants, this Church was built in the year 2006, in the month of December from the Birth of Christ."

The opening of the church on December 2, 2006, was attended by the governor of Belgorod region E. S. Savchenko, the head of the Belgorod administration V. N. Potrasaev, the patrons brothers Tarasov, representatives of the Russian Council of the Ancient Orthodox Pomor Church from Moscow, Valuyki, and St. Petersburg, as well as guests from Kharkiv, Rostov, and Belgorod regions.
