A ceremony for the foundation of a new church took place on the grounds of the Holy Vvedensky Convent in the village of Ivanovka, Orlovsky District. This event was led by Bishop Alexiy of Mtsensk, who is a vicar and dean of the monasteries of the Orlov Diocese.
According to the press service of the Orlov Metropolis, a small domestic church was consecrated in 2000. In 2017, the construction of a stone church with two altars began: the upper altar is dedicated to the New Martyrs of Russia, while the lower altar is dedicated to the Righteous Godbearers Joachim and Anna.
In August 2018, Bishop Alexiy of Mtsensk, vicar and dean of the monasteries of the Orlov Diocese, performed the ceremony for the foundation of the new church.
