The Kazan Icon of the Mother of God Church in the village of Soldatka was built in the early 19th century. On the day of its consecration, a royal manifesto was announced regarding the start of the war with Napoleon.

This church in the village of Soldatka was erected with funds from the local landowner Vladimir Yakovlevich Bekhteev in 1817, although some sources indicate 1812. The church was laid in 1801, when Emperor Alexander I ascended the throne, and the consecration took place on July 13, 1812, on the day of the celebration of the Archangel Gabriel.

The church has the shape of an elongated ship with a bell tower above the entrance. The parishioners of the Kazan Church did not allow the church to be closed throughout the years of Soviet power. Even during the German occupation of the village of Soldatka, services continued here, concluding with the prayer "For the granting of victory to the Christ-loving Russian army."

In 1986, steam heating was installed in the church. Significant restoration work was carried out in 1986 and 1987: the unique frescoes were restored, and the outer walls and altar were renewed.

On November 4, 2012, in honor of the 200th anniversary, the church was consecrated again after restoration. Today, the Kazan Church in Soldatka, painted in heavenly colors, is a monument of architecture and is under state protection.
