The Kazan Church is located in the village of Melekhino, built between 1880 and 1912 in the then-popular eclectic style. In 1938, the Bolsheviks closed the church, destroying the bell tower and turning the building into a warehouse and workshop. During the war, services were once again held in the Kazan Church. In 1950, the church was closed again, citing its emergency condition. Repairs to the Kazan Church were only carried out at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries. Since 2004, services have resumed in the church.
