The stone church of the Icon of the Mother of God 'Znamenie' was built in 1851 with funds from college assessor Ivan Petrovich Shekhovtsov. This building, with a single altar dedicated to the 'Znamenie' icon of the Most Holy Theotokos, was constructed on the site of an old wooden church that had fallen into disrepair.
In 1940, the church was closed, and its bell tower and dome were destroyed. Currently, the church has been returned to the faithful, and regular services are held there. The Znamenie church is recognized as a monument of local cultural architecture and is in need of major repairs.
