Parishioners of the church expressed their sincere gratitude to the administration of the village of Dobrik and the Brasov district administration for transferring the building of workshops, previously belonging to the Dobrik Secondary School, to the Orthodox parish for use as a church in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God 'Sign'. In 2015-2016, the building was converted into a church through the efforts of the parishioners.
The village of Dobrik is located 22 kilometers northeast of the settlement of Lokot and is first mentioned in the 1620s. From 1876 to 1883, a stone church in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God 'Sign' was built in the village, which was destroyed during the Soviet years. The surviving walls housed a village club, which caught fire multiple times. Today, only the remaining walls remind us of the former grandeur of the church.
In 2011, the villagers began restoring the walls of the church and cleaning its territory of debris. Further restoration of the shrine is planned. At the initiative of local residents and with the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Bryansk and Sevsk, an Orthodox parish in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God 'Sign' was organized in the village in 2014. Currently, services are held in a temporary church.
