In 1887, with the blessing of Kaluga Bishop Gregory, a wooden church was built over the well created by St. Tikhon, on a stone foundation with a brick base, dedicated to the icon of the Mother of God 'Life-Giving Spring'.

The church had five domes and was designed in the shape of a cross. Two bathing areas were attached to the northern wall: for men and women. To the southeast was a one-story wooden building for brotherly cells on a stone foundation. To the northwest was a building for female pilgrims, connected by an internal corridor to the women's bathing area.

After the monastery was closed in 1918, the church at the well of St. Tikhon and all the skete buildings were completely destroyed.

On September 17, 1994, Archbishop Clement of Kaluga and Borovsk consecrated a new stone church in honor of the icon of the Mother of God 'Life-Giving Spring'. The new brick church with a wooden dome generally repeats the architectural features and dimensions of the previous church.

Today, this is a parish skete church. The Divine Liturgy is usually held here twice a week: on Fridays and on scheduled days, as well as on the days of the Mid-Pentecost, on the eve of the Epiphany on January 18, and on the night of the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord on January 19. On the church's feast day, on the Friday of Bright Week, an All-Night Vigil and festive Divine Liturgy with a water blessing service are held. On the feast day of St. Tikhon of Kaluga, June 29, a water blessing service is conducted in the church and at the holy well.
