In the early 90s, a Holy spring re-emerged in Tatarka, which had been sealed during Soviet times, and people decided to restore it. According to the memories of the locals, it was difficult to find the stone grotto buried under the earth. With the blessing of Metropolitan Gideon of Stavropol and Vladikavkaz, the novice of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church, now the rector of the Church of the Righteous Godbearers Joachim and Anna, Archpriest Alexander Dubovik, actively participated in the excavations.

The revival of this holy place began through the efforts of Cossacks and believers. A simple catchment was made, and the access road was improved. Several projects for the restoration of the Holy spring were developed, and only in 2004 was a project approved that addressed the shortcomings of the previous ones. It was important to preserve the natural landscape and halt the expansion of the ravine. Yellow bricks were chosen for construction, matching the color of the local shell rock.

With the funds from benefactors, the catchment of the spring was first arranged, a baptismal font was built, along with a church and a house for the priest. Later, buildings for monks were added. Today, the territory of the Holy spring is a men's monastery in honor of the Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos "Joy of All Who Sorrow."
