The parish of the church in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God 'Joy of All Who Sorrow' was established in 1997 at the request of believers from the village of Zolotukhino and with the blessing of Archbishop Juvenaly of Kursk and Rylsk.

Since the parish did not have its own building, services were held in rented premises: first in a former furniture store from 1997 to 1998, and then in 'Children's World' from 1998 to 2008. In 2008, the building was purchased by the parish, and in 2011 it was registered as its property.

Currently, the administration of the village has allocated a plot for the construction of a new church, but due to a lack of funds, work has not yet begun.

In 2012, the parish celebrated its 15th anniversary. Status of the parish: active.
