On October 1, 2010, a new wooden temple dedicated to the icon of the Mother of God 'All-Merciful' was opened and consecrated on the territory of the Belgorod Regional Oncology Dispensary. The consecration ceremony and the first Divine Liturgy were conducted by Archbishop John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol. He conveyed blessings from the Holy Mountain Athos and a copy of the miraculous icon of the Most Holy Theotokos 'All-Merciful'. The original of this icon, painted in the 17th century, is kept in Greece on the Holy Mountain Athos in the Vatopedi Monastery. It is known that the icon performed miracles for a person engaged in magic. Over time, parishioners noticed that it had a beneficial effect on patients with various malignant tumors. The icon's special power is also reflected in its name, which means 'All-Lord'. Copies of this icon can be found in almost any Orthodox church and prayer rooms in oncology treatment facilities across Russia.
