In 1995-1996, a temporary chapel was built on the site of the future Ascension Church. It was an elongated wooden structure with plastered walls and a gable roof. The central part of the building was distinguished by semi-circular ceilings and was topped with an onion dome on a thin drum. In 2002, the chapel was closed as services began to be held in the Iver Church, and the building was used as a Sunday school. In August 2011, the structure was completely dismantled.
