The village of Seredinskoye has been known since 1662, when it was part of the estate of Nikita Chaplin. The Church of the Annunciation was likely wooden and has not survived to this day. In its place, a stone single-domed two-altar church in the Baroque style was built with funds from D.I. Skobeeva. The main building of the church is a two-light square, and the refectory is connected to a two-tiered bell tower. The chapel is dedicated to Sergius of Radonezh. The current church was erected in 1767 near the estate, which belonged to M.G. Savvin until 1917. From the estate, a one-story wing with a mezzanine built in the mid-19th century and the remnants of a park have survived.

The Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary has preserved its original appearance without significant changes. The length of the building is 28.5 meters, and the width is 9 meters. In the windows, some old wrought iron grilles with intricate patterns have partially survived, and in the refectory part, there is a beautiful tiled floor. In the late 1930s, the church was closed. During the Soviet era, its premises were used as a chemical warehouse and workshops for the collective farm 'XXII Congress of the CPSU'. The legacy includes gates embedded in the place of the refectory windows and a beam suspended along the entire church, likely for a loading crane.

A small group of parishioners, lacking financial means but with a strong desire to restore their native church, began by clearing the area around the temple. In the process, they discovered a huge stone slab with an Old Slavic text. The translated message from their ancestors reads: 'In the year 1535, during the reign of the Blessed Great Prince Vasily Ivanovich and his son Great Prince Ioann in the 28th year of his reign, and during the time of Metropolitan Daniil of All Russia, the Divine Church of the Most Pure Mother of God and the Honorable Annunciation and the temple of Saint Basil the Great, Archbishop of Caesarea of Cappadocia, was established by the divine providence of this place for the sinful servant Michael Semyonovich Vorontsov and his children Vasily, Georgiy, Ioann. Signed by Elder Nikanor.' This slab, which is part of the church's base, is invaluable as it contains the only information about the temple, carried through five centuries.
