The stone church, built by Count P.A. Deviyev over seven years and completed in 1828, replaced the wooden Borisoglebskaya church that had existed since 1780. The church had an altar dedicated to the Archangel Michael in the choir.

In the spring of 1929, the church was closed. Valuable church items were removed, and books and papers were haphazardly piled in a wood shed. The bells were sent for melting down. All documents, including correspondence and blueprints of both churches, as well as a chronicle of key events in the village, were destroyed by fire. The church building was repurposed as a grain storage facility. Currently, the dome and roof have collapsed, and the church is in a deplorable state.
